In March of 2003 Draeving Machine & Tool, Inc. purchased the assets of Atlas Die & Mfg. Co. out of Rockford, IL and moved all the equipment up to its new location at 2710 Prairie Avenue. In the purchase of Atlas Die, Draeving Machine & Tool, Inc. almost doubled its CNC capacity.

After the purchase of 2710 Prairie Ave. Draeving Machine & Tool's 3 locations at 471 West Burton St., 1552 Summit Ave, and 1626 Summit Ave were consolidated all under one roof.

In 2002 the Draeving family purchased a 77,000 square foot building at 2710 Prairie Avenue in Beloit, which was previously occupied by Black & Decker.

In 1998 the company purchased Quick Line Screw Machine Products located in Loves Park, Illinois. All of Quick Line Screw Machine Products operations were moved to the 1552 Summit Avenue building.

In 1995 the company needed more space. A new 10,000 square foot building was built at 471 Burton Street.

In 1990 a 3,600 square foot building was purchased for storage space. This building was located at 1626 Summit Avenue. The company continued its growth by purchasing new equipment and adding new customers.

In 1989 Draeving Machine & Tool purchased its first CNC Machine. This started a different era for the company, which was predominately known for manual machining.

In 1986 additional space was needed for expansion so they put a 2,400 square foot addition on the building to increase its size to 5,100 square foot.

In 1985 their son Michael J. Draeving joined the company out of high school. He completed a four year tool & die apprenticeship at Blackhawk Technical College in 1989.

In 1974 the 2,700 square foot building was purchased by Robert & Judith for expansion purposes.

They took the business on full time in January of 1973 and moved to a rented location at 1552 Summit Avenue. They rented a 900 square foot portion of the building.
Draeving Machine & Tool was founded by Robert L. Draeving and Judith A. Draeving in 1971 as a part-time business out of their garage at 1537 Shirland Ave. while working at other jobs.
